Virginia Tech women’s soccer has signed Hannah Pachan to the 2025 recruiting class. Pachan, a midfielder from Uniontown, Ohio, played club soccer with the Cleveland Force. Pachan is a three-time high school All-American, All-Region and All-Ohio honoree, as well as a State Champion with Walsh Jesuit High School.

“We’re extremely excited to add Hannah to our group and our program,” head coach Chugger Adair said. “She’s a player whose dynamic movement will impact and help our possession, our attacking opportunities and our offensive players. Hannah is a player who can create for herself and her teammates. We can’t wait to see her impact on our program.”

Why did you choose Virginia Tech? I chose Virginia Tech because of the family atmosphere that surrounds the team and the campus as a whole. The players, along with the coaches, were so welcoming and nice. I also loved the town of Blacksburg and the look of the campus. I couldn’t see myself anywhere else once I visited Virginia Tech.

What was your favorite thing about your visit? Meeting the current players and getting to see what their daily lives consist of. Everyone was sharing stories and the whole time I was having fun and getting excited for the future!

What excites you the most about being part of Virginia Tech women’s soccer? What the coaches bring to the team. They are able to create great players who continue to play professionally after college. I am also looking forward to creating strong bonds with the girls and becoming lifelong friends!

What are your soccer strengths? I am a versatile player who loves to attack but will also defend when the team needs me. I also have plenty of speed, so I can get to the ball quickly and find my next pass as soon as possible.

Who is your favorite pro player and why? My favorite player growing up was Christen Press. She was one of the hardest-working players on the field who loved to play for the team. She was sometimes overlooked, and you could tell she never played for fame but because she loved the game. She has overcome many injuries in her career, but she has never given up. She continues to inspire me.

What do you plan on majoring in? I am planning to major in Nutrition and Dietetics.

What is one thing you want Virginia Tech fans to know about you? I put everything into games and practices because I love this sport so much!
