GOLD CANYON, Ariz. – The Virginia Tech women's golf team concluded its 2024-25 season in the desert Wednesday afternoon, placing ninth at the Gold Canyon Regional hosted by Arizona State at Superstition Mountain Golf and Country Club (par 72, 6,544 yards).
The Hokies were making their sixth NCAA regional appearance in program history. Tech fired rounds of 304, 306 and 292 to post a 902. Fifth-ranked Oregon won the regional at 12-under 852 (289-282-281), nine shots ahead of Arizona State. Oklahoma State (866), Mississippi State (875) and Cal State Fullerton (887) were the remaining three teams to advance to nationals.
Morgan Ketchum logged her fifth top-20 of the season at 5-over 221 (73-74-74) to tie for 20th and pace the Hokies. Valentine Delon carded a final-round 70 (-2) to tie for 25th at 7-over 223 (76-77-70).
Oregon's Kiara Romero won the individal title behind a 16-under 200 (70-62-68). Patience Rhodes of Arizona State was the runner-up at 9-under 207 (70-66-71).
