COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The Virginia Tech track & field sprints event group spent the weekend at the 44 Farms Team Invitational hosted by Texas A&M.
Caitlyn Bobb was the first Hokie of the weekend to accumulate a an all-time top 10 performance, boasting a 52.44 in the 400m, a mark good for No. 2 all-time and just .20 from the program record. Bobb is now top three in the 400m, both indoor and outdoor for the Hokies.
Tomas Kersulis secured his slot in the 400m outdoor records with his 46.26, landing No. 6 all-time for Tech with the results.
Both the men's 4x100m and 4x400m cracked the top six all-time in the respective events. Diaby, Tillmon, Kersulis and Meyer combined for the No. 6 all-time mark of 39.45 in the 4x100m to kick off the Saturday events while Kersulis, Tillmon, Diaby and Lincoln IV brought home the No. 3 all-time performance in the 4x400m with a 3:04.34 to seal the meet. Both relays placed second overall.
