INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. – Virginia Tech football was well represented at the 2025 NFL Combine and came away with some impressive performances. In one of the most popular drills at the scouting combine, running back Bhayshul Tuten and wide receiver Jaylin Lane turned heads with a blazing 40-yard dash time. Tuten set the tone, posting the fastest time by all running backs with 4.32 seconds. Lane followed close behind with the fourth-fastest time for wide receivers, posting an impressive 4.34 seconds. The duo’s athleticism was on full display as they posted at least 40” vertical jumps to rank in the top three of their respective positions.
Following the conclusion of the NFL Combine, many media pundits agree that Tuten boosted his draft stock after his performance. The two-year Hokie was consistently ranked among the highest of athletes at his position.
