BLACKSBURG - The Virginia Tech women's basketball team fell 69-59 to visiting Texas Tech in the second round of the WBIT Sunday afternoon, bringing the 2024-25 season to a close. The Hokies finish 19-13 in year one under Head Coach Megan Duffy who took the helm of the program nearly a year ago.

The Lady Raiders scored the game's first eight points and would never relinquish the lead in a wire to wire performance. Texas Tech got 23 points from Bailey Maupin, 16 from Jasmine Shavers and held a 19-rebound advantage in the game.

For Tech, Carys Baker led the team in points (14) and rebounds (6) and she was joined in doube figures by senior Rose Micheaux (10) and Lani White (11).

The Hokies outshot the Raiders and also won the turnover battle, but were plagued by allowing 20 offensive rebounds.

Senior Matilda Ekh recorded nine points in her final collegiate game.
