DALLAS, Texas — Hokies fall in an away match in Dallas against SMU, 4-0.
Tech kept it close in sets, but didn’t have enough to take down the Mustangs.
After dropping the doubles point, the Hokies tried to chip away in singles. Alberto Orso had a strong start on Court No. 6, with a 7-5 win in the first set, in a match that was ultimately unfinished. Scott Sculley and Victor Kimpel were in tight matches that were also incomplete.
The Mustangs ultimately clinched on Court No. 3 to close out the match.
The Hokies travel up north on Sunday, March 16 to face Boston College at 10 a.m. EST.
