KNOXVILLE, Tenn.- The Hokies notched ten new top ten times at the Last Chance Meet this weekend at the University of Tennessee.
Emily Santos posted a 1:00.61 in the 100 breaststroke, moving up to sixth-best in the program. Nichelly Lysy came in close behind with a 1:00.68, taking seventh-best.
Tanish George-Mathew swam a 19.54 in the 50 free to break into the top ten, taking the ninth overall spot. The next day, Landon Gentry posted a 19.58 securing the 10th overall time.
Will Hayon posted a program fourth-best time in the 100 fly, with a 45.12. Gabriel Yuk earned seventh-best in the program with a 46.09. In the 200 fly, Gentry swam a 1:41.10 and secured the program’s third-best time.
Lysy continued her success in the 200 breaststroke, posting a 2:10.97 good for fourth overall in the record book.
Jakub Poliacik secured the eighth-overall spot in the record book for the 200 free with a 1:34.09.
Levente Balogh swam a 1:40.55 in the 200 backstroke, good for fifth in the record book.

The men’s team will host a Last Chance Meet next Saturday, March 8, at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.
