Wilmington, Del. – Tech extends its winning streak to five, with a 5-2 win over the Delaware Blue Hens.
The Hokies continue their fine form in doubles, taking the doubles point yet again. No. 67 Charlotte Cartledge and Özlem Uslu came out hot with a 6-3 win over Hrynashka and Jurkowska. Arina Gamretkaia and Linda Ziets-Segura provided the clinching win for Tech with a 7-6(3) win on Court 3 over Schieroni and Svendson.
Gamretkaia continued off the momentum of her win against JMU with another singles win over Vadlamudi 6-2, 6-1. Laima Frosch also got on the board for Tech with a 6-4, 7-6(4) win over Schieroni on Court 5.
On Court 3, Semra Aksu battled back in a three-setter after dropping the first set to Jurkowska 6-2. Aksu finished out the match 6-4, 6-3 to take the win. Gorinsek, playing on Court 2, also went to three sets. Down in the first set, 6-4, Gorinsek was able to come back to win 6-1, 6-2.
