Q: Why do you think it is important to give back to Virginia Tech Athletics?

NC: Virginia Tech Athletics really shaped my passion for sports as a student and later shaped my passion into a career in sports. From Tech Softball Park, Thompson Field, Lane Stadium and so many more, there's not a venue in Blacksburg that doesn't make you want to start jumping. The student-athletes, coaches and front office make these events unforgettable and is my main reason for giving back to the program.

Q: Why did you decide to attend Virginia Tech?

NC: I decided to attend Virginia Tech after my first tour on campus while my sister was attending! After taking one lap around the Drillfield with my tour guide and seeing the campus and the buildings, I was hooked. The best advice I was ever given when choosing the college I wanted to attend was to walk the campus with the mindset that it was going to be your home for the next four years. Needless to say, Virginia Tech and Blacksburg felt like home from the first moment I stepped on campus.

Q: How has Virginia Tech Athletics impacted you?

NC: Virginia Tech Athletics has impacted me greatly. Being involved with the program both as a student and as an employee, the department has not only given me memories that will last a lifetime but friendships and relationships that will last me a lifetime. I am extremely grateful to be able to witness the top tier fan experience from both the stands and the sidelines. Virginia Tech Athletics not only brought the fans joy each and every game day, but the entire community of Blacksburg.

Q: What is your favorite Virginia Tech sports memory?

NC: My favorite Virginia Tech sports memory was at Tech Softball park back in 2022. Blacksburg was able to host an NCAA regional and super regional tournament for the first time in program history, the fans and the team really embraced the moment. Although in the end the team fell short in the super regional, it was one of the most electric atmospheres I had ever been a part of. From the rain delays to hot weather and everything in between, Tech Softball Park was always packed to the brim cheering on one of the top programs in the country.

Q: Why would you encourage other Virginia Tech Recent Graduates to give?

NC: I would encourage other recent graduates to give to allow for the future generation of Hokies to experience the same joys we do on game days. The Recent Grad Program is a great offer to not only give back for the undergraduate experience and atmosphere that we were a part of, but also paving the way for future Hokies to keep jumping as well.
