BLACKSBURG — Coach Brent Pry and the Hokies' football program closed out the 2025 high school recruiting class on Wednesday, signing wide receiver Cameron Sparks from the Baylor School in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Sparks (6-3 1/2, 215) is ranked a four-star receiver by Rivals and ESPN. He is a three-star receiver according to 247 Sports and On3. Sparks helped the Red Raiders to three state title game appearances in the last four seasons, including a state championship in 2022. He was ranked as the number 12 prospect in the state of Tennessee by 247 Sports and Rivals.

During his senior season, Baylor finished with a 12-1 record as Sparks tallied more than 900 receiving yards and 10 touchdowns, averaging 19 yards per catch on his way to All-Region and All-State honors. Despite an injury, he registered 711 yards and seven scores as a junior.

Sparks played in the prestigious Navy All-American Bowl in San Antonio, Texas last month where he announced his commitment to the Hokies. He was also a standout athlete on the Baylor basketball team. He had more than 30 scholarship offers, choosing Tech over the likes of Mississippi State, Arkansas, Tennessee, Alabama, South Carolina, Miami, Florida State, Georgia, and Michigan.
