CHARLOTTE, N.C. - The ACC annouced the last bout of Athletes of the Week awards on Tuesday afternoon. Virginia Tech secured three of the six available honors, with a clean sweep of the Field Athletes of the Week.
Chiara Sistermann was rewarded as the Women's Field Athlete of the Week. Sistermann boasted a career-best mark of 4.35m (14'3.25") at the Virginia Tech Challenge. Her new personal-best places her No. 6 all-time for Virginia Tech, No. 27 in the NCAA this season and No. 3 in the ACC.
Maddox Hamm was selected as the Men's Field Athlete of the Week. At the Virginia Tech Challenge, Hamm brought home the event win and tied his personal-best mark of 5.57m (18'3.25") from earlier this season. Hamm sits at No. 3 all-time for Virginia Tech, No. 3 in the ACC and No. 15 in the NCAA.
Farah Nasir earned her first collegiate accolade with the Women's Freshman Athlete of the Week honor. Nasir finished second overall in the 200m, collecting a career-best mark of 24.54 in the event, a mark that makes her the seventh fastest freshman in the ACC in the 200m this season.
