Hokie ClubBLACKSBURG – Due to inclement weather forecast on Saturday in the Blacksburg area, the Virginia Tech athletic department announced on Thursday a revised schedule for the baseball program’s season-opening home weekend against Bucknell, affecting games to be played at English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park between Feb. 14 and Feb. 16.
On Friday, Feb. 14, Virginia Tech will now host a 1 p.m. doubleheader against Bucknell with game two following approximately 40 minutes after the conclusion of game one. With Friday’s new doubleheader, the Hokies and the Bison will no longer contest their previously scheduled game on Saturday, Feb. 15.
Virginia Tech is also scheduled to close its season-opening series against Bucknell on Sunday, Feb. 16, as previously scheduled. First pitch will remain at 1 p.m.
All three games between the Hokies and the Bison will air live via ACC Network Extra.
