Hokie ClubELON, N.C. – Due to inclement weather, softball’s matchup at Elon on Tuesday, Feb. 11 has been postponed to a date to be determined.
The Hokies continue their regular season schedule at the Purple & Gold Classic (Feb. 14-16) in Baton Rouge, La., with matchups against UT-Arlington, No. 20 Northwestern and No. 9 LSU.
Virginia Tech went 5-0 on opening weekend at the Charleston Invitational with run-rule wins against Fordham, North Dakota State and the College of Charleston. The Hokies outscored their opponents 50-0 on the weekend.
Against the College of Charleston (Feb. 9), Emma Lemley became the sixth pitcher to throw a perfect game in program history. She tallied 22 strikeouts over 11.0 innings pitched and allowed just one hit.
