BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech and Michigan will clash in the opening game of the 2024 Fort Myers Tip-Off, which will be held Nov. 25-27 at Suncoast Credit Union Arena on the campus of SouthWestern State College in Fort Myers, Fla.
The four Beach Division games, set for Nov. 25 and 27 will take place at 6 p.m. ET and 8:30 p.m. on both days, with FS1 providing nationally televised coverage. The Hokies and the Wolverines will tip at 6 p.m. in the first semifinal on Nov. 25, with Xavier and South Carolina squaring off at 8:30 p.m. Third-place and championship contests will take place on Nov. 27.
Tech and Michigan have met six previous times with the Wolverines leading the series, 4-2. The Hokies have won two straight against UM, including a 73-70 victory in Ann Arbor as part of the ACC/Big Ten Challenge on Nov. 30, 2016.

Ticket packages, based on availability, will go on sale this fall.
The Fort Myers Tip-Off has established itself as one of the preeminent early season college basketball events on both the men’s and women’s calendars. For the third time, Intersport, owner and operator of the Tip-Off, will host the top men’s and women’s programs for a weeklong celebration of college basketball during Thanksgiving Week. In total 16 men’s and women’s games will be contested over a six-day period from Nov. 25-30. Eight men’s games across two divisions will lead off the schedule of events from Nov. 25-27 and will conclude with the Elevance Health Women’s Fort Myers Tip-Off Nov. 28-30 in an event headlined by three-time national champion South Carolina, along with perennial tournament powers Iowa State, Michigan, Purdue, Virginia Tech and MTSU, among others.
