The ACC and ESPN recently announced the kickoff times and TV network designations for five games in the 2024 season. Virginia Tech football now has three road games and two home games with scheduled kick times.
Head coach Brent Pry and the Hokies will open the season at FirstBank Stadium, against Vanderbilt on Saturday, Aug. 31 at noon ET on ESPN. The Commodores are set to be the first SEC program Tech will face under Pry's direction and the first SEC opponent Tech has faced in nearly five years.
After starting the season on the road, Blacksburg will be jumping once again during the home opener versus Marshall on Saturday, Sept. 7 at 4:30 p.m. on The CW.
Few environments can compete with Lane Stadium at night, and the excitement surrounding the football program only amplifies the intrigue of Hokie Nation. Get your tickets to the home opener and enjoy an unforgettable night.
The Hokies will also set the tone for the 30th anniversary of Thursday night football in their ACC matchup against Boston College on Oct. 17 at 7:30 p.m. This iconic matchup is slated to air on ESPN.
Anticipating an electric atmosphere as Enter Sandman plays throughout Lane and fans sing along under the bright lights is a memory you'll want to be a part of. Single-game tickets for BC are available to ensure you're in the venue, and season tickets provide another option for every home game.
Following its home opener against the Thundering Herd, Tech will travel east to Norfolk, Virginia, for a matchup against Old Dominion on Saturday, Sept. 14 at 6 p.m. This contest will mark the program's third matchup since 2022 and sixth overall. Fans can watch the clash of Virginia-based programs on ESPN+.
Looking at the final kickoff time announced, the Hokies head to Florida for an ACC matchup against Miami on Friday, Sept. 27 at 7:30 p.m. Another night game added to Tech's schedule gives more national awareness of the program with the contest airing on ESPN and is a great way for Hokie Nation to start its weekend.
