UPDATE (Feb. 6, 2024) – This release has been edited to correct an inaccuracy; the Virginia Tech baseball team will make five linear television appearances during the 2024 regular season.
BRISTOL, Conn. – Under the scope of ESPN's industry-leading coverage of the 2024 NCAA Division I baseball season, the Virginia Tech baseball team is currently scheduled to make five linear television appearances this regular season on the ESPN and ACC Network platforms, according to Thursday's composite programming release made by ESPN.
Among Virginia Tech's five selections, three of the Hokies' home weekend contests against ACC competition will be televised from English Field at Atlantic Union Bank Park. Airing on ACC Network will be Tech's series finale against Pitt on Saturday, March 30 (4 p.m.), its series opener against No. 1 Wake Forest on Friday, April 5 (7 p.m.) and the middle game of its three-game series against Miami on Saturday, May 11 (7 p.m.).
Additionally, Virginia Tech is scheduled to make its 2024 debut on ACC Network on Sunday, March 17, when the Hokies wrap up their first away conference series at Louisville. Coverage from Jim Patterson Stadium that day is scheduled to begin at 12 noon.
Virginia Tech's regular season finale on Saturday, May 18, against Virginia – capping the teams' 2024 installment of the Commonwealth Clash presented by Smithfield – will also air on ACC Network.
As during the 2023 postseason, every pool play game at the 2024 ACC Baseball Championship – taking place from May 21 to May 26 at Truist Field in Charlotte, North Carolina – will air exclusively on ACC Network. Both conference semifinal games on Saturday, May 25, will also air on ACC Network while the league championship game on Sunday, May 26, will air live on ESPN2.
Furthermore, the remainder of Virginia Tech's 2024 home schedule – plus many of the Hokies' true road games against ACC programs – will be streamed digitally on ACC Network Extra via the ESPN App.
