BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech director of track and field, Ben Thomas, announced the 2025 indoor competition slate, featuring four home meets and five road opportunities. The ACC Indoor Championship will be hosted by Louisville and the NCAA Indoor Championship will be housed in Virginia Beach.
The Hokies will kick off the new season with two consecutive home meets in Blacksburg, starting with the Virginia Tech Invitational on Jan. 17-18 followed by the Hokie Invitational on Jan. 24-25. While most of the squad is home for the Hokie Invitational, some sprinters and hurdlers will head down to Lubbock, Texas for the Red Raider Invite.
The pole vault squad will then travel to Columbia, S.C. on Jan. 31-Feb. 1 to compete at the Carolina Challenge.
The entire program returns home to Rector Field House for the Doc Hale Invitational from Feb. 7-8 to open the Febuary slate of events.
For an eventful Valentine's Day weekend, the jumps and multis group will head to sunny New Mexico for the Don Kirby Elite Invitational hosted by New Mexico and the throws and sprinters will head to Clemson for the Tiger Paw Invitational.
To close out the indoor regular season slate, the Hokies will host the Virginia Tech Challenge from Feb. 21-22 while some of the distance crew heads to Boston for the Terrier DMR Challenge hosted by Boston University.
The ACC Indoor Championship will be hosted by Louisville from March 1-3 in Louisville, Ky. while the NCAA Championship kicks off on March 14 and runs for two days in Virginia Beach, Va.
