Hokies reveal 2025 lacrosse schedule

Lineup features nine opponents from 2024 NCAA tournament field

Schedule

BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech lacrosse announced its 2025 schedule on Monday, which opens on Saturday, Feb. 8 against VCU.

The slate features nine regular season matchups against teams from the 2024 NCAA tournament field and 10 home games at Thompson Field.

For a third consecutive season, the Hokies open play with VCU, as they travel to Richmond for a Commonwealth meeting.

Tech then hosts two non-conference matches in Blacksburg, both against tournament teams from last year, as James Madison and Mercer come to town. Sandwiched in between two road contests with Elon and Queens (N.C.) is the Hokies’ conference opener against Pitt on Feb. 22 at Thompson Field.

The Hokies welcome defending national champions Boston College on March 1 in the first of five ACC matchups that month. Along with games against Mount St. Mary’s, North Carolina and High Point at home, Virginia Tech will travel to Louisville, Stanford and Duke during March.

Three of the Hokies’ final four games will be played in Blacksburg: Clemson, Coastal Carolina and Syracuse. The Commonwealth Clash against Virginia wraps up the regular season in Charlottesville on Thursday, April 17.
