BLACKSBURG – Get ready for an action-packed day at Cassell Coliseum on Sunday, Dec. 15th, as Virginia Tech hosts its second basketball doubleheader of the 2024-25 season. The excitement starts at noon ET, with the men’s basketball team battling Navy, followed by the women’s team facing Radford at 4 p.m. It’s the perfect way to wrap up the Fall Semester, and with special promotions throughout the day, there’s no better time to show your Hokie pride. Here are five reasons why you won’t want to miss this doubleheader. 

1. Core Memories Day. Make Sunday a family event at Cassell Coliseum! All kids are encouraged to join us for an exciting game day, featuring an ‘Inside Out’-themed doubleheader that’s sure to spark joy. Get ready to let your emotions run wild as you cheer on the Hokies—it's the perfect way to score some unforgettable memories.

2. Fan Giveaway. Be one of the first fans to arrive at Cassell Coliseum for a chance to receive an exclusive orange crazy hair headband. These fun headbands are only available while supplies last, so don’t miss out! It’s the perfect way to show your Hokie pride in style.

3. In-Venue Host and Halftime Performance. Get ready for non-stop fun with live contests and exciting interactive promotions throughout the game, hosted by In-venue Host Bailey Angle. It’ll be an awesome experience from start to finish! Also, catch an incredible halftime performance showcasing the talent of students from the local Ardell Stone School of Dancing.

 4. Autographs. Stick around after the women’s basketball game for a special postgame autograph session with the entire team! This is your chance to meet your favorite student-athletes and grab their signature—don’t miss out on this exciting opportunity to connect with the Hokies up close.

5. Kids' Takeover Day. It’s a game run by the youngest Hokies in the house! During the men’s basketball game against Navy, eighth grade and younger students will take on special roles to help run the game alongside our staff. Assisting behind the scenes, these young fans will showcase their talents and Hokie spirit in an unforgettable way. Keep an eye out for their contributions throughout the event!
