BLACKSBURG – With Week 10 of the NFL season now in the books, the push toward the postseason is heating up—and Hokie alumni are making their presence known across the league. In this week’s NFL Hokies, presented by Coca-Cola, we break down the top performances from former Virginia Tech stars in Week 10 and dive into the must-watch matchups in Week 11 as the race to the playoffs gains momentum.

K John Parker Romo
Formerly an undrafted free agent with the New Orleans Saints, kicker John Parker Romo has quickly made a name for himself since signing with the Minnesota Vikings on Nov. 5. In his debut weekend, Parker Romo was the driving force behind the Vikings' 12-7 win over the Jaguars, scoring all of Minnesota's points by going a perfect four-for-four on field goal attempts, including a clutch 45-yarder.

RB Khalil Herbert
After playing six games with the Bears, running back Khalil Herbert was traded to the Cincinnati Bengals last week. Although he didn't make his debut in Thursday night's primetime loss to Baltimore, Herbert is expected to be a key addition for Joe Burrow and the offense. With Zack Moss sidelined for an extended period, Herbert will team up with Chase Brown to bolster the Bengals' backfield, bringing added versatility and depth.

LB Tremaine Edmunds
In a tough 19-3 loss to the New England Patriots, linebacker Tremaine Edmunds was a standout for the Bears, consistently applying pressure on the Patriots' offense. Despite the defeat, Edmunds earned an 85.7 pressure grade from Pro Football Focus, showcasing his ability to disrupt plays. He also recorded four tackles and added a pass breakup, proving to be a key defensive presence in an otherwise challenging game for Chicago.

K Joey Slye
In the Patriots' 19-3 victory over the Bears, kicker Joey Slye demonstrated accuracy and composure, contributing 13 points to the scoreboard. Going head-to-head with fellow Hokie alum Tremaine Edmunds, Slye made all four of his field goal attempts and adding an extra point after the Patriots' lone touchdown, joining Parker Romo in a perfect performance.

DT Tim Settle
The AFC South division-leading Texans faced off against the 8-1 Detroit Lions, the top team in the NFC North, in a hard-fought battle. The Lions edged out the Texans with a last-minute field goal, securing a 26-23 win. Despite the loss, defensive tackle Tim Settle contributed two tackles, including a key tackle for loss, showcasing his ability to support the defense in a tightly contested game.

Notable Week 11 Matchups

Las Vegas Raiders at Miami Dolphins: Sunday, Nov. 17 at 1 p.m. ET on CBS
The Raiders and Dolphins will face off for the first time since last November when Miami secured a 20-13 victory. Miami features Hokie alumni cornerback Kendall Fuller, who had five tackles last week and earned a 72.7 run defense grade from Pro Football Focus. Meanwhile, the Raiders are led by linebacker Divine Deablo, who’s had a strong season, including four tackles in Week 9 against the Bengals. The Dolphins are coming off a win over the Los Angeles Rams, while the Raiders will look to rebound after their bye week. The matchup is made even more exciting by the Hokie vs. Hokie battle on defense.

Kansas City Chiefs at Buffalo Bills: Sunday, Nov. 17 at 4:25 p.m. ET on CBS
The undefeated Kansas City Chiefs will square off against the top-ranked AFC East Buffalo Bills, who bring an 8-2 record into the matchup. The Chiefs feature NFL Hokie talent on defense in safety Chamarri Conner, who recorded five tackles in Week 10 against the Denver Broncos, earning a 78.1 tackle grade from Pro Football Focus. Conner will need to be on top of his game as he faces a dynamic Buffalo offense led by quarterback Josh Allen, with key weapons like wide receiver Amari Cooper, tight end Dalton Kincaid, and running back James Cook, who has already scored eight touchdowns this season.
