BLACKSBURG - The Hokies opened the 2024 campaign with three victories. A men's team first place finish, a women's team first place finish and an individual top mark.
The Virginia Tech Invitational welcomed six teams on both sides with 149 total athletes. Those competing among Tech were Charleston (W.V.), Washington and Lee, Lenoir-Rhyne, Concord and Radford.
Nicholas Kipchirchir claimed the individual title for the men's race, collecting his first career win as a Hokie, and setting a personal best of 17:43.5.
Katie Bohlke, Sophia Holgado, Anna Rigby and Nicholas Kipchirchir each saw their collegiate debuts in the meet.
