BLACKSBURG – The reigning ACC regular-season champion Virginia Tech women’s basketball team received its 2024-25 schedule from the ACC Tuesday night as it was unveiled on the ACC Network’s Nothing But Net.
As previously announced in February, the Hokies will play 18 conference games this season, one each against 16 conference foes and twice against the rival Virginia Cavaliers.
Monday the ACC released each squad’s first ACC matchup, with the Hokies traveling to Durham to take on Duke on Sunday, Dec. 8.

Notes on the slate
• The Hokies will play host to all three ACC newcomers in SMU, Cal and Stanford. The matchups will be the first ever against both California schools and just the third versus the Mustangs.
• In contrast, Tech goes to the Research Triangle three times to take on North Carolina, NC State and the Blue Devils.
• Tech has two three-game home stretches on the docket this season between Jan. 12-19 and then again from Jan. 30-Feb. 6.
• VT ends the ACC season on the road for the third consecutive season.
