BLACKSBURG – Coming off back-to-back wins, Virginia Tech football sets its sights on an upcoming matchup with a Big Ten opponent. Head coach Brent Pry stepped to the podium to discuss Saturday's contest against Rutgers. Student-athletes Dorian Strong and Josh Fuga also spoke to the media during Tuesday's press conference. Read and watch below to see what they had to say:

Head coach Brent Pry

Congratulates Lane and Powell-Ryland:
"Congratulations to Jaylin Lane and APR for their ACC Player of the Week honors, well deserved. I think both those guys played outstanding, particularly APR, one of the better games I've been around. Run game, pass game, made big plays, executed well. So happy for those guys."

Opening Statement about Saturday:
"Excited about this weekend, Hall of Fame game, packed house in Lane Stadium, Military Appreciation, White Effect, just so much going on. We've got a ton of high-profile recruits coming. And an opportunity, most importantly, to play our best game yet here at home. So we're excited about it."

Defensive Lineman Josh Fuga

On containing Rutgers' offensive gameplan:
"Yeah, they're known for running the ball. You know they got a very talented one-two punch in the backfield. Experienced O-Line, that's pretty good. But like I said, it all starts up front. We just got to stop the run, get them down. You know, the guy's pretty good back there. So we just got to get them down, stop the run."

Cornerback Dorian Strong

On the defensive mentality after ODU victory:
"I feel like we came out of that feeling good, it was a couple of shutouts. So, I feel like we did our job as a unit, as a whole. I feel like the back end, the back seven, we did our job limiting the passing. And I feel like the D-Line and the linebackers, well, the D-Line stepped up, a majority in the run game. And I feel like the defense as a whole, we did pretty good."
