Hokie ClubBLACKSBURG – Riding back-to-back victories, Virginia Tech football returns home for a key matchup against Rutgers. The Hokies and Scarlet Knights meet for the second time in the past two seasons after Tech traveled to New Jersey in 2023. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. ET on Worsham Field at Lane Stadium.

Ticket Tuesday Item Pick-Up
Fans who bought tickets during the summer ticket promotion, ‘Ticket Tuesday’, will receive their USA-themed Virginia Tech magnet on Saturday. The themed magnet is a great memorabilia item in conjunction with the Military Appreciation promotion taking place on game day. Purchasers can grab their magnet on game day on the Upper South concourse behind Section 507.

Players to Watch
Running Back Bhayshul Tuten: The talented senior has been a great playmaker for Tech’s offense. Over the past two contests, Tuten rushed for 120 and 115 yards, respectively, and added three scores on the ground. The Paulsboro, New Jersey native rushing ability has been a huge benefit in closing out games. Last week against Old Dominion, Tuten ripped off two touchdown runs in the fourth quarter, further highlighting his ability to produce more as the game builds.
Safety Mose Phillips III: As a true sophomore, Mose Phillips has been a tackling machine for defensive coordinator Chris Marve’s defense. After playing in 13 games with two starts last season, Phillips has stepped seamlessly into his role in the secondary. The Nashville, Tennessee native has started all three games and tied for the team lead in tackles with 18. Phillips has taken advantage of the increased opportunities as a starter, recording his first career sack against Marshall and averaging an 82.4 tackle grade in the last two contests, according to Pro Football Focus.
Wide Receiver Stephen Gosnell: Big plays have been the calling card for the fifth-year wideout when his number is called. Gosnell is averaging 24.5 yards per catch through three games and has recorded receptions over 40 yards in two different matchups. Against Marshall, the Pilot Mountain, North Carolina native made a beautiful diving catch for a 49-yard pickup. When targeted, Gosnell continues to showcase his ability to be a sure-handed target and deep play threat.
