BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech swimming & diving head coach Sergio Lopez Miro released the team’s 2024-25 schedule on Thursday afternoon, The Hokies will host four dual meets and the Virginia Tech Invitational, along with a men’s Last Chance Meet, at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center.

The teams kick the season off with an intrasquad meet, pitting the maroon and orange teams against each other in the first Hokie Belt Challenge of the season (Sept. 14) at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center. The squad will then open their 2024-25 competition season with a dual meet at home against George Washington on Sept. 28.

Two weeks later, the Hokies compete in a pair of meets Oct. 11-12, sending a squad to the SMU Classic and hosting a dual meet against Carson-Newman. The team hits the road for a dual meet against Duke in Durham, N.C., on Oct. 19, followed by a week off before the Ohio State Buckeyes come to town Nov. 1-2.  

Lopez Miro’s squad will return to the Christiansburg Aquatic Center for the maroon and orange teams to compete once again in the second Hokie Belt Challenge of the season Nov. 9 before traveling to the NC State Invite in Greensboro, N.C. (Nov. 21-23).  The swimmers then head back to Greensboro for the US Open on Dec. 4-7.

To open up the new year, the swimmers will represent the program at Queens on Jan. 3, while a contingent stays home to host South Carolina on Jan. 4. The squad will waste no time getting back on the road, traveling to Charlottesville, Va., to take on the Cavaliers on Jan. 11 in the Smithfield Commonwealth Clash, and to State College, Pa., to take on Penn State and Princeton on Jan. 18. Three weeks later, the Hokies will host the Virginia Tech Invitational from Feb. 7-9 before diving into the postseason.

Championship season will kick off Feb. 18-22 with the Men’s & Women’s ACC Championships in Greensboro, N.C., followed by a Last Chance Meet in Knoxville, Tenn., from Feb. 28 to March 1.

Tech will host a men's swim team’s Last Chance Meet at the Christiansburg Aquatic Center on March 8 before sending the diving teams to NCAA Zone A Diving Championships in Rutgers, N.J. (March 10-12). The Women’s NCAA Championships will be held in Federal Way, Wash. from March 10-12, while the Men’s NCAA Championships will be held in the same location the following weekend (March 26-29).
