BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech women’s basketball Head Coach Megan Duffy announced the Hokies’ 2024-2025 non-conference slate Tuesday afternoon. Duffy, in her first season at the helm, will guide the Hokies who return six athletes from the team that won the club’s first ACC regular-season crown in 2024.

The 11-game docket includes seven home games on Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum, in addition to three exciting neutral site matchups and a contest at Power Four foe Georgia in the second edition of the SEC/ACC Challenge.

Tickets to Tech’s matchups at Cassell will be made available once the full schedule is released. Sign up to be the first to know when they go on sale.

The Hokies will open the season Nov. 4 against UNC Wilmington, a program they have never faced. In its second contest Nov. 10, the Hokies will take on Big Ten champ Iowa in the Ally Tipoff held at the Spectrum Center in Charlotte, a rematch of last season’s Tipoff game that saw the Hawkeyes earn a narrow four-point victory in front of over 15,000 fans.

From there, Tech will remain at home for a four-game stretch that will see the Hokies entertain UNC Asheville (Nov. 13), Coppin State (Nov. 16), Rutgers (Nov. 19) and Elon (Nov. 23).

Thanksgiving week, Tech will head south to take part in the Elevance Health Fort Myers Tip-Off’s Shell Division which features Davidson, Michigan and Belmont. Friday, Nov. 29 Tech will face Davidson and then Saturday will take on either the Wolverines or Bruins.

In December, Tech will travel to play Georgia in the second annual SEC/ACC Challenge on Wednesday Dec. 4 for a clash with the Bulldogs. Tech, who fell in the inaugural Challenge a season ago, is 0-4 all-time against UGA.

To conclude the non-conference slate at the end of the fall semester, the Hokies will play host to New River Valley foe Radford Dec. 15 and then face another Big South opponent at Cassell in Campbell on Dec. 21.

The Hokies’ 18-game conference schedule, along with television networks and game times will be announced at a later date.
