Hokie ClubVirginia Tech Athletics and the Hokie Club are excited to announce that Triumph Together, the athletic department’s annual giving blitz, will commence on Aug. 21-22, 2024.
Triumph Together will run for 25 hours for a second straight year, kicking off on Wednesday, Aug. 21 at noon and running until 1 p.m. on Thursday, Aug. 22. During this time, Hokie Nation is encouraged to give philanthropically to help fulfill the programmatic needs of all 22 varsity sports and additional support programs in Blacksburg.
“Hokie Nation has stepped up time and time again for Triumph Together,” said Whit Babcock, Director of Athletics. “This year should be no different. Triumph Together is such an important initiative for all our varsity programs, and it will be an incredible way to kickoff what should be an exciting year in Hokie sports.”
Tech fans are highly encouraged to sign up to be ambassadors for Triumph Together. After registering, ambassadors will be given a link specific to them that they can share with fellow Hokies. If two unique gifts are made through an ambassador’s link, that ambassador will automatically receive an exclusive stainless steel Hokie tailgate cup. On top of this incentive, the top 10 ambassadors with the most referrals will have an opportunity to claim additional athletics prizes, including free premium football and basketball tickets, team Nike gear, sideline passes for Enter Sandman and more. Teams and support programs will be able to receive bonus funding from various challenges during this 25-hour span. Each program will have the opportunity to unlock a $5,000 match. The top five teams with the most unique donors will also receive additional funding. Lastly, additional challenges, including Farthest Hokie, Start Jumping, and an Elevate Her challenge will allow teams to compete for monetary prizes.
