Marci Byers tabs Haley Stangle as director of operations for volleyball program

BLACKSBURG — Virginia Tech volleyball head coach Marci Byers tabbed Haley Stangle as the program’s director of operations Tuesday. Stangle has spent the last two years at the University of Arkansas as a graduate assistant – operations for their volleyball program.

She will be involved in the day-to-day operations of the program, including management of the program’s budget and coordination of team travel.

At Arkansas she orchestrated travel logistics, facilitated practice schedules, collaborated with the staff on team budget, provided administrative support and liaised with groups such as nutrition to help fuel the student-athletes.

Stangle also has experience as a marketing and communications intern at Texas A&M where she worked in the 12th Man Foundation. There, she was responsible for the creation and execution of HTML emails through Eloqua while also producing content for social media platforms.

She holds a bachelor’s degree in sport management from Texas Tech and a master’s degree in recreation and sports management from Arkansas.
