BLACKSBURG – Virginia Tech will host Jacksonville as part of the Fort Myers Tip-Off on Nov. 20 inside Cassell Coliseum. The eight-team event is split into two divisions – the Beach Division and the Palms Division. The Hokies were previously announced to compete in the Beach Division with Michigan, South Carolina and Xavier, Nov. 25-27.
In addition to the two games in Southwest Florida at Suncoast Credit Union Arena, each Beach Division team will host a Palms Division team prior to competing in Fort Myers. The full schedule of on-campus games can be found below.

Tech and Jacksonville are set to meet for the sixth time in series history with the Hokies leading, 4-1. The two sides have not met since Dec. 20, 1986, and Tech has only hosted the Dolphins once (Jan. 17, 1976). Jacksonville, which enters its fourth season under head coach Jordan Mincy, finished the 2023-24 season with a 16-17 record after advancing to the semifinals of the Atlantic Sun Conference tournament.
The complete game schedule, including matchups, in Fort Myers will be announced in the coming weeks. Between the Beach and Palms Divisions of the Fort Myers Tip-Off, eight games will be held over the course of three days leading up to Thanksgiving Day. In total, four games – two Beach Division and two Palms Division – will be played on Nov. 25, two Palms Division games will be held on Nov. 26 and two Beach Division games will take place on Nov. 27.
