DURHAM, N.C. – In the quarterfinals of the ACC Tournament, third-seeded Virginia Tech softball fell to sixth-seeded Georgia Tech 6-2 at Duke Softball Stadium on Thursday.

The Yellow Jackets (32-22) got on the board first, scoring a run in the top of the second inning. The Hokies (39-12-1) answered in the bottom of the third inning, as left fielder Addy Greene tallied a sacrifice fly to score center fielder Emma Ritter. But Georgia Tech scored five unanswered before a solo home run by Ritter in the bottom of the seventh inning.
