With the reseating and reparking of Lane Stadium and Cassell Coliseum set to begin in April, Virginia Tech Athletics has prepared the details below to help ticket holders navigate the process seamlessly. 
 
A reminder that the reseating process is only available for football, men's basketball and women's basketball season ticket holders and the order of selection is based entirely on fans' Hokie Scholarship Fund ranking as of March 1, 2024.
 
Any new ticket buyers after this date, or ticket buyers who did not qualify for a Hokie Scholarship Fund ranking (minimum $25 Hokie Scholarship Fund gift), will be contacted after the selection process is complete their seating and parking for 2024. Learn more about becoming a season ticket holder.
 
Important Steps Prior to Selection

  • Be on the lookout for your assigned seat selection date and time sent via email on April 3, 2024. This email will come from updates@go.hokiesports.com. If you do not receive your selection date/time by April 3 please reach out immediately via phone (during business hours) at 1-800-VATECH4 or via email at hokietix@vt.edu
  • Familiarize yourself with the venues. As previously announced, both Lane Stadium and Cassell Coliseum will be renumbered in 2024 to improve fan navigation on gameday. Sections and seat numbers will change to sequential order while the rows will stay the same. These updated maps include pricing adjustments for 2024-25. VIEW MAPS.
  • Log in to your account to familiarize yourself with the seat selection platform. The selection platform is provided by a leader in the ticket industry and is as user-friendly as possible. However, it is always recommended to login prior to your selection so you can familiarize yourself with the process and ensure smooth checkout flow. LOG IN.
  • Fans needing additional assistance can always make an appointment with our service team by calling 1-800-VATECH4 or via email hokietix@vt.edu. Appointments must be made no later than one day in advance.

The Process of Selecting Seats/Parking
Details regarding the actual process of selecting your seats and parking for football and/or basketball will be shared via your selection date and time email sent on April 3. To review the process in advance fans can visit seating.hokiesports.com for a complete step by step guide. This guide also answers frequent questions such as group seating, missed appointment times, ticket priority limits, etc. 
 
Because 2024 is a full reseating year, location in any part of the venue is not guaranteed. Thus, all tickets were renewed/purchased at the lowest price point. Additional ticket costs, and possibly Hokie Scholarship Fund giving, may be required at the time of checkout based on your desired location. Ticket prices across football, men's basketball and women's basketball have been adjusted for 2024. View pricing maps for each sport.
 
Renumbering of Lane & Cassell

Frequently Asked Questions
Q: What happens if I miss my appointment time?
A: If you miss your appointment time, a seating representative will select seats and parking for you within the following weeks. These will be selected based on the location you are eligible for considering your giving to the Hokie Scholarship Fund as of March 1, 2024. Additional ticket costs will be automatically charged to the credit card on file or added to your billing plan. 
 
Q: Why are there additional charges when checking out of the seat selection process?
A: Because 2024 is a reseating year, location in any part of the venue is not guaranteed. Thus, all tickets were renewed/purchased at the lowest price point. Q: When can I select tickets outside of my priority limit?
A: While fans can order as many tickets as they would like, ticket priority limits are in place to create access for all during the selection process. Ticket priority limits are shared in the annual Investment Guide and can be found in the Hokie Scholarship Fund benefits chart. Any tickets purchased outside of priority will be selected at the end of the seat selection process, with secondary selection times also being determined by rank.
 
Q: I have football, men's basketball and women's basketball tickets. When do I select my seats?
A: Your selection date/time applies to all sports you have tickets for. Follow the appropriate links in your selection date/time email to complete your selection for each venue. Because selecting for multiple venues takes longer than selecting for a single venue, additional time gaps have been added between fans' selection times. 
 
Q: How do I select seats with my friends?
A: Customers who selected the group seating option when ordering their tickets need to coordinate their selection with the appointment time of the lowest ranked person within their group; and, at that time, each group member can log into the online system and choose their seats together. Since all seats will be selected online, each person in the group will need access to a separate computer when coordinating the location of their seating location to simultaneously make their selections.
 
Q: Why can't I strand a single seat?
A: Customers will not be allowed to choose a seat location that strands a single seat. For example, if a block of three seats remains in a row you will not be able to select two of them thereby stranding a single seat. This maximizes seating capacity and limits the number of unsellable single tickets. It is possible to add additional tickets during the selection process to help avoid stranding single seats. Virginia Tech Athletics reserves the right to move your seats one to the left or right to avoid stranding single tickets or odd numbers of seats in a row. However, this will not be utilized to move seats off an aisle or if it disturbs a block of seats "stacked" back-to-back on two rows.
 
Q: Can I add tickets during the selection process?
A: Yes! Additional tickets can be added during the selection process so long as the additional required seat donation is paid for at checkout and the ticket quantity does not exceed ticket priority limits based on membership level. 
 
Q: Can I upgrade my parking during the selection process? 
A: Yes! Fans can upgrade to another membership level during the parking selection process to gain access to additional lots so long as the additional gift is submitted at checkout. Additional parking cannot be added during the process.
