Women’s basketball ranked 13th in AP Poll Monday afternoon

The Virginia Tech women's basketball team is ranked 13th in the AP Poll the organization announced Monday afternoon.

The Hokies ended the regular season 23-6 and are the outright ACC champs after going 14-4 in league play. It's the first regular-season ACC title in program history and the 14 wins tie last season's squad for the most in a single season for the Hokies.

In the ACC Women's Basketball Championships, the Hokies defeated Miami for the second time this season 55-47 Friday afternoon behind 27 points from Georgia Amoore. Saturday afternoon, Tech fell to eventual champion Notre Dame.

Amoore was named to the tournament's second team on Sunday, the third time that she has earned All-Tournament recognition from the conference.

The Hokies will learn their seed for the 2024 NCAA D1 women's basketball championships on Sunday, March 17 during the Selection Show that will air at 8 p.m. on ESPN.
