The Virginia Tech women's basketball team has accomplished numerous milestones in the Kenny Brooks era, and it was no different late last night when the Hokies claimed their first-ever ACC regular-season title.

With the regular-season finale remaining for each ACC team on Sunday, Tech locked up the title when No. 12 NC State beat No. 19 Syracuse 75-71 in overtime in Raleigh around 9:30 p.m. ET last night.

With that, the team will be the No. 1 seed in the ACC Tournament next week and receives a double bye, meaning its first game won't take place until the quarterfinals on Friday in Greensboro. It marks Tech's second time receiving a double bye.

The Hokies currently own a 14-3 record in league play, tying their most wins in ACC play. A win on Sunday in Charlottesville would push them to a program record 15 wins. The contest will be played at 6 p.m. on ACC Network against Virginia (14-14, 6-11).

Today marks the final day for fans to renew their season tickets for the 2024-25 women's basketball season. It also marks the final day for fans to buy new season tickets and participate in the seat selection process later this spring when Virginia Tech Athletics does reseating for Cassell Coliseum. So act now to improve your seat selection!
