What did the beginning of your lacrosse journey look like?
For me, I started playing in second grade. I played rec to start, and then I got into club and travel ball a little later.
What did your club lacrosse experience look like for you and who did you play for?
I played for Florida Select. I ended up playing for the same coach through rec, high school, and in club, so I actually only had the one main coach throughout my lacrosse journey as I was growing up.
How have you been able to translate your high school lacrosse experience to now playing here at Virginia Tech?
Everything my coach John McClain had taught me, honestly. He was such a great coach my entire life. Since he played in college, he knew what was needed to play at the next level. I learned so much from him and took all my skills I learned and put them on the field here.
What has been your favorite part of practice so far?
Definitely everyone on the team. We are all so close and have the highest energy. I always feel like I can ask anyone a question and turn to them when I need to. Our coaches also structure practice in such a way that it keeps everything fun and makes it efficient.
What are your academic goals while at Tech?
I hope to get all A's and maintain a good GPA to get me a good job after graduation. I like to take time after practice and just sit down and focus on my studies since I know it will all be very important in the coming years.
Why did you end up committing to Virginia Tech?
I committed here for the program obviously but my parents went here, so I grew up on this campus. It already felt like home. The team culture, the academics and everything put it together for me. I loved the lacrosse program and it really was meant to be.
