CHARLOTTE – Virginia Tech center Elizabeth Kitley earned ACC Player of the Week honors the conference announced Monday afternoon. For the graduate student, it is her third time winning the award this season and twelfth time in her illustrious career.
Kitley led the Hokies to a fifth consecutive victory over Virginia Thursday with a season-high 33 points on a night she also recorded 18 rebounds and three blocks. She tied a program record for field goals in an ACC contest with 15 in the game. Sunday, she helped the Hokies to a win at UNC, with a 15-point, 15-rebound effort.
She leads the conference in double-doubles and owns six 30-points games this season.
Tech is back in action on Thursday, Feb. 8 for an 8 p.m. tip against the No. 3 NC State Wolfpack. That game can be seen on ACCN.
