Returning your starting quarterback in college is typically a coveted thing, and the Hokies are proud to claim that as they enter the 2024 season.
On Wednesday, ESPN released its 10 most interesting quarterbacks heading into the fall and Virginia Tech's Kyron Drones was ranked No. 2.
Staff writer Bill Connelly wrote about Drones' ability of making the offense move the ball more effectively as the season went on, showcasing his versatility with his arms and legs down the stretch.
He broke down expected points added (EPA) and how that number increased significantly with Drones under center, while mentioning how the Hokies are first in returning production in FBS – a good sign for things to come.
Tech is set to host six games in Lane Stadium this fall, including a Thursday night bout. After selling out five of six games last season, you're going to want to lock your seat in now to ensure you're there to watch Drones and Co. with Hokie Nation.
Before then, the Hokies will begin spring ball in March ahead of their spring game, presented by PMSI, on Saturday, April 13 at 3 p.m. ET.
