Get ready for the Hokies' next home contest with five reasons to attend this rivalry matchup in Blacksburg.
1. Smithfield Commonwealth Clash. Join the Hokies in a battle for points in the Commonwealth Clash, presented by Smithfield. Tech has won three straight against the Cavaliers in Blacksburg, including last season's 74-68 victory over sixth-ranked UVA.
2. Maroon Out. Tech fans are encouraged to wear maroon for the Clash and buy the official Maroon Out shirt. Proceeds benefit the Undergraduate Student Senate.
3. Smithfield Food Drive. All fans are invited to bring non-perishable foods for donation to The Market at Virginia Tech. Most-needed items include rice, peanut butter, canned meat, soup, and canned vegetables.
4. Smithfield Bricks for Bacon & More. All fans in Cassell could win free Smithfield bacon as part of the Bricks for Bacon promotion, and fans should look out for the Smithfield Sweatpants Toss for even more freebies. In addition, students will receive free Smithfield Commonwealth Clash Foam Bacon Strips in the second half.
