Women's tennis announces 2024 schedule

BLACKSBURG - Virginia Tech head women's tennis coach Terry Ann Zawacki-Holdren announced the 2024 spring slate on Monday. 
 
The Hokies are set to play a total of 21 dual matches with 12 of those being held in the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center. 
 
The Hokies open the spring with a home match on Saturday, Jan. 20 against Radford at 1 p.m. before returning the following day for a match against ETSU at 1 p.m. on Sunday, Jan. 21. The Hokies will host West Virginia on Sunday, Jan. 28 before tackling their first away matches of the season. 
 
Tech's first road trip will be to Huntington, W.V., as it faces Miami (OH) and Marshall on Feb. 3 and 4. The Hokies will return home for matches on Feb. 10 and 11 against Appalachian State and Delaware before opening ACC play. 
 
Virginia Tech plays its first ACC match on the road at Louisville on Feb. 23. This is the start of a four-match road trip as the Hokies also visit Notre Dame (Feb. 25), Clemson (Mar. 1), and Georgia Tech (Mar. 3) before returning to the Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center, where they will face UVA on Thursday, March 14 for the Commonwealth Clash. 
 
Tech will travel to Lynchburg to face Liberty on Sunday, Mar. 17, followed by four matches at home against Boston College (Mar. 22), Syracuse (Mar. 24), Wake Forest (Mar. 28), and N.C. State (Mar. 31). The Hokies will take their final road trip at the beginning of April and then return to Blacksburg to finish the season against Florida State (April 12) and Miami (April 14). 
 
The ACC Championship Tournament will take place April 17-21 at the Cary Tennis Center in Cary, NC.
