The Virginia Tech women's basketball team is ranked 17th in the AP Poll the organization announced Monday afternoon.
The Hokies are 16-4 (7-2) on the season following a 75-62 victory at then-No. 22 Syracuse snapping a 15-game home winning streak for the Orange. Georgia Amoore led all scorers with 29 points, including six free throws in the final two minutes to put Syracuse away. She was dominant all week, returning to the court against Georgia Tech on Thursday with a 24-point, 13-assist double-double.
