The Virginia Tech women's basketball team is ranked 13th in the AP Poll the organization announced Monday afternoon.
The Hokies are 10-2 on the season following the largest victory in ACC play in program history, a 50-point triumph against Pitt Sunday afternoon at Cassell Coliseum. Georgia Amoore led all scorers with 20 points and Olivia Summiel recorded a double-double off the bench with 10 points and 11 rebounds.
Several other program records were set including:
•Most points at home in an ACC games
•Most points in a half in an ACC game (57 in the second half)
•First time that six athletes scored in double figures in an ACC game
Tech is back home on Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum on Sunday, Jan. 7 for a noon tip against the third-ranked NC State Wolfpack. That game can be seen on ACC Network. Ticket packages are available HERE.
Virginia Tech faculty/staff can claim up to two tickets per Virginia Tech staff ID at the Cassell Coliseum ticket booth for select games this winter. Individuals can present up to four eligible IDs at one time and claim up to eight tickets (while supplies last). Tickets must be claimed the day of the game, starting 90 minutes from tip off.
