WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – Virginia Tech (8-14, 2-8) dropped a tough one to No. 19 Wake Forest, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon.
The Demon Deacons jumped ahead early with a pair of victories on courts two and three to claim the doubles point. Ryan Fishback and Jordan Chrysostom pulled ahead on court one before the match was abandoned.
Tech struggled in singles with every match being lost in straigh-sets. Alex Ix had a chance to put the Hokies on the board but came up short in the 10-point tiebreak, 10-7, losing the match.
