SUNSET, S.C. — Freshman Morgan Ketchum fired a 5-under 211 (69-70-72) to tie for medalist honors and lead the Virginia Tech women's golf team to a seventh-place showing at the Clemson Invitational, which concluded Sunday at The Reserve at Lake Keowee (par 72, 6,386 yards).

Ketchum was one of two Hokies to finish in the top five of the leaderboard. Fueled by 13 birdies (tied the tournament high), Ketchum ended in a four-way tie for first place with LSU's Ingrid Lindblad, Clemson's Annabelle Pancake and Illinois' Crystal Wang. Lindblad and Wang are ranked fourth and 22nd, respectively, by Golfstat. Becca DiNunzio tied for fifth at 3-under 213 (70-72-71) to join Ketchum in the top 10.

By sharing medalist honors, Ketchum became the fourth Hokie in program history to win at least a share of an individual title, joining Elizabeth Bose, Emily Mahar and Keerattriya Foocharoen.

No. 17 Ole Miss stormed back to prevail as the team champion at 8-under 856 (287-286-283). No. 3 LSU finished runner-up at 7-under 857 (288-284-285). The Hokies compiled an 8-over 872 (290-290-292). VT defeated three top-40 ranked teams this weekend: No. 16 Vanderbilt, No. 22 Oklahoma State and No. 38 Kent State.

Tech finishes its regular season at the NC State Match Play, April 3-4. The Wolfpack will host the eight-team event at Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, N.C.
