Tech places 13 on All-ACC Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. – Thirteen Virginia Tech student-athletes from the men's and women's cross country teams earned All-ACC Academic honors on Thursday, announced the Atlantic Coast Conference. 

Academic requirements for selection to the All-ACC Academic Team are a 3.0-grade point average for the previous semester and a 3.0 cumulative average during one's academic career. In addition, student-athletes must compete in either the ACC Championship or NCAA Championship in the sport of cross country.

Antonio Lopez Segura received U.S Track and Field & Cross Country Coaches Association All-Academic honors on Jan. 26. To qualify for All-Academic distinction, student-athletes must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.25 on a 4.0 scale and finish in the top-25 at the NCAA Regional Championships.
