BLACKSBURG – The Virginia Tech men's tennis team lost 4-0 to No. 21 Middle Tennessee on a rainy Sunday morning at Burrows-Burleson Tennis Center.

The Blue Raiders made their presence felt early picking up wins on Court 2 and 3 to capture the doubles point. Jordan Chrysostom and Ryan Fishback continued their good form, going ahead 5-4 on No. 23 Rocha/Brostrom Poulsen before the match was called.

Alvaro Saez-Royuela Ariza showed great resilience climbing back into the match with a 6-3 win in the second set to force a decisive third set before the match was called. Alberto Orso looked well on his way to securing his third singles win of the season going ahead 6-4, 4-6, 4-2, but it went unfinished due to Middle Tennessee clinching the match.

The Hokies will take the court again on Friday, February 17, at 5 p.m. hosting Michigan State.
