"We are extremely excited to add Lauren to the Virginia Tech women's soccer program and to our strong 2024 class," said head coach Chugger Adair. "Lauren is a wonderful person who is competitive, athletic, and committed to making herself better day in and day out. She can play multiple positions for us on the back line or up front. She is committed to coming in early and hitting the ground running when she reaches campus next semester. We can't wait to have her on campus!"

Why did you choose Tech? I chose Virginia Tech because right when I stepped foot on campus, I remember looking at my parents and telling them, "this is where I want to be." The campus is absolutely amazing, and it is what I dreamt my college would be and I immediately felt at home. Tech is also a perfect fit for me with it being relatively close to home, allowing my family and friends to visit and come to the games. Also, Tech offers many opportunities with great programs and academics in the area I am interested in studying. Most importantly, I was warmly welcomed and appreciated by the coaching staff and team.

What was your favorite thing about your visit? My favorite part about my visit was before the game in the locker room. Before everyone leaves to get on the field, they turn off the lights and turn on Enter Sandman. Everyone was lined along the lockers and then they started banging in sync along to the beat of the song. It got everyone super pumped and ready for the game ahead. I look forward to continuing this tradition before all my games in the future.

What do you like about the Tech women's soccer program? I fell in love with Virginia Tech women's soccer team culture. Everyone is extremely nice and supportive, and I cannot wait to be a part of the team. They are also part of one of the most competitive conferences, the ACC. It is an absolute dream that I will get to compete on Thompson field. I also look forward to learning from the great coaching staff.

What are your soccer strengths? My greatest strengths on the soccer field are speed, work ethic, and creativity.

Who is your favorite pro player (why)? My favorite professional soccer player is Alex Morgan. She has been my favorite player for my whole soccer career. I grew up watching her play in many world cups and games. She plays in one of my positions (striker) and I learned a lot from watching her play. She has inspired me to strive to play at the professional level.

What is your most memorable soccer moment (why)? My most memorable moment was a semi-final game for our first national tournament. The game was super competitive, but on a break away I created the game winning play. After we won, my team ran onto the field cheering and celebrating together.

What do you think you will major in? My major will be exercise and health sciences, and I also plan to pursue my doctorate to become a Physical Therapist.

What is one thing you would want Tech fans to know about you? Soccer is my first love, but I have many other interests that I also enjoy! These include water sports, painting, fishing, cooking, lifting, and running.
