Tech falls at Auburn, 74-57

AUBURN, Ala. – Virginia Tech fell to Auburn, 74-57, on Wednesday night inside Neville Arena as part of the ACC/SEC Challenge presented by Continental Tires.

Cattoor led the Hokies (5-3) offensively with 16 points, while John Camden and Jaydon Young followed with nine points each.



The Tigers (5-1) pounded it in the paint to the tune of 42 points. Johni Broome produced a game-high 30 points on 11 of 19 shooting and 13 rebounds to lead Auburn. Chad Baker-Mazara followed with 15 points.

NOTES
• Virginia Tech is now 2-7 against Auburn all-time and 0-4 when playing the Tigers in Alabama.
• Coach Young is now 1-3 all-time against Auburn, playing them three times as head coach of Wofford.
• Tech's 27.5% from the field marks the lowest percentage of the season.
• The Hokies' 21 turnovers helped the Tigers maintain their lead throughout the game. This is the team's highest turnover total of the season.
