"We are excited to add Annie to our program ," said head coach Chugger Adair. "She an awesome individual with a great personality and she is also an incredible player. She can play multiple positions on either side of the field. Her technical game is very strong and she has a great soccer IQ with a very good feel of the game. We are looking forward to having her part of the program and being part of the Virginia Tech family. She is going to help us continue to grow our program and make a run at the NCAA and ACC Championships."
Why did you choose Tech? I chose Virginia Tech because it had everything I was looking for in a soccer program, as well as academically. The school pride and community feel on campus were the best!
What was your favorite thing about your visit? It was great to be able to meet the team, stay in the dorms, and get to know all of the girls. It was also great to be able to watch the soccer team and football team play.
What do you like about the Tech women's soccer program? The coaching staff and team at Tech were all so welcoming. The facilities were great and I loved the game day environment when I watched the team play.
What are your soccer strengths? My strengths as a player are my touch and confidence on the ball.
Who is your favorite pro player (why)? Julie Ertz is my favorite pro player because she is a defender who loves to get forward on the attack. I love her energy and her passion for the game.
What is your most memorable soccer moment (why)? My favorite soccer moment was winning the San Diego CIF Championship my freshman year!
What do you think you will major in? I plan to major in business.
What is one thing you would want Tech fans to know about you? As a Southern Californian born and raised, I've never experienced the four seasons. I can't wait for my first year at Tech!
