With Week 4 of the NFL season now in the rearview mirror and fans bracing for a thrilling Week 5, all eyes are on the former Virginia Tech football players seizing the spotlight. The legacy from Blacksburg is alive and thriving as these Hokie alumni demonstrate their skills on the grandest stage of American football.

Notable Week 4 Performances

RB Khalil Herbert:
Running back Khalil Herbert delivered a powerful performance during Chicago's clash against Denver, in what can only be described as his best showing yet in the 2023 season. Herbert rushed for an impressive 103 yards on 18 carries while displaying his versatility by catching four of five targets for 19 yards, including a 2-yard touchdown.
 
TE Logan Thomas:

Tight end Logan Thomas showed off his consistency by securing all three of his targets, amassing 41 yards in Washington's game against Philadelphia. Thomas played in 79% of Washington's offensive snaps, setting the stage for a promising Week 5.
 
T Christian Darrisaw:
Offensive lineman Christian Darrisaw saw his performance reach new heights, earning an impressive 20-point increase in his PFF grades from Week 4, achieving an offensive grade of 88.3. His proficiency in both run and pass blocking was evident, further solidifying his ability to anchor the offensive line.
 
S Chamarri Conner:

In only his third NFL appearance during his rookie season, safety Chamarri Conner left a lasting impression in Kansas City's victory over the New York Jets. He displayed tremendous growth finishing the game with a defensive and coverage grade of 91.4, according to Pro Football Focus (PFF).
 
LB Tremaine Edmunds:
Linebacker Tremaine Edmunds made his presence known by tallying eight tackles against Denver, including six solo tackles and two assisted ones. Edmunds also achieved his first stuff since Chicago's season opener, and he secured his second-highest PFF coverage grade of the season at 60.4.
