PITTSBURGH, PA --The Virginia Tech volleyball team fell to the No. 7 Pittsburgh Panthers 3-0 (13-25, 14-25, 14-25) Friday on the road at Fitzgerald Field House.

The loss dropped Virginia Tech's record to 12-10 overall and 2-9 in ACC action.

Ava Francis finished with 13 kills on the day to lead the Hokies attack, finishing with a hitting percentage of .333. Five digs each from Hailey Pearce and Iliana Rodriguez led the Hokies defensively.

SET 1 | The Hokies fell behind early, losing a tough first set 25-13. Virginia Tech trailed by as many as 12 points as Pittsburgh never surrendered the lead in a set that was tied up zero times before the Panthers took control.

SET 2 | Virginia Tech fell in set two 25-14, digging a 2-0 deficit in the match. The Hokies dropped the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before dropping the set.

SET 3 | Virginia Tech could not win set three and was swept by Pittsburgh. The Hokies fell behind on the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before losing the set 25-14.
