CHARLOTTE, N.C. – Wrapping up Day 2 of ACC Tipoff in the Queen City, Virginia Tech men's basketball explained how it seems ready to go in a couple weeks.

"I'm excited about the group we have in our locker room," guard Hunter Cattoor said. "We've got fighters. We've got hardworking dudes."

The 'dudes' in attendance alongside Cattoor were fellow guard Sean Pedulla and forward Mylyjael Poteat. The trio was also joined by head coach Mike Young, who is entering his fifth season in Blacksburg.

Young let Cattoor actually draw up a play the team installed in practice. The two have developed a close bond together and Cattoor wants to coach one day. So Young, happily, has utilized him in more of that way as of late. Somewhat acting as another assistant, coaching up the newcomers to the standard Young has.

But, Wednesday was a more laid-back time, as the foursome fielded questions all day and participated in video and photo shoots. They hit radio row, were on set with ACC Network and did a press conference.

You can see the Hokies in action on Monday, Nov. 6 when they take on Coppin State 8 p.m. ET at Carilion Clinic Court at Cassell Coliseum. Be sure to support the women's team, too, which plays beforehand at 5 p.m. versus High Point. Lock in your tickets for the highly-anticipated doubleheader.
